In an effort to combat the  incredibly shrinking internet we bring you one of the worlds first official human verified link directories.   If you haven't noticed, we have, that lately it seems that the internet seems to be "shrinking".  

True, it has been taken over by the mass of social websites, personal blogs,  unconfirmed encyclopedias, photo swaps, and other media orientated sites filled with a wealth of opinionated facts but we don't think this is the cause of "the shrink".  We think its shrinking because Search Engines results have been narrowed down in their efforts to rank pages and they have weeded out the ones they thought the searcher was either not really that interested in or by some other measure of standard have been given a "low value".

We here at GiveMeALink wish to recognize that these sites have not vanished and some of them are not worthless!  It is simply that their referencing index has just gotten too small for the big boys!  In the evolution of ratings and the search engine game that amounts to a website "king of the mountain" it is our opinion that it is inevitable that this illusion of "the shrinking internet" will happen.  Simple logic dictates that you can't have both rated results and vast results.  Its just not possible.  No matter who's doing the rating.   That said - it is possible to have indications of the quality behind sites, but not because a computer said so, and not because a company paid the computer to say so - but because another human said so!

Additionally Search Engine Optimization experts suggest that having one way links to your website does increase the value of that site in the eyes of some of the major search engines.  We can't say this is true or not true, we at GiveMeALink simply don't know that for certain, we will say that we don't think its wise to list yourself on a site just because you can list yourself on a site.   You've herd the phrase, you can't go into the gutter and come out smelling like roses. The same holds true for links.  Link popularity in the eyes of search engines is earned - not paid for.  

Here at GiveMeALink dont be fooled by our ease of use.  You will earn your listing.  You will earn it because we won't approve your link if we find the content of your site does not represent what you claim it does.  We also won't approve sites that participate in trickster schemes to misguide user traffic or provide excessive pop ups or offer malware, pornography, or any other questionable behavior.
